Anyone here using one? Still pondering scope options for my tbh builds. The Swarovski x5 are selling for a pretty dang good deal as they are discontinuing them in favor of the x5i (illuminated model) but the only ones really left have the BRM reticle. They will be hunting rifles 1st with range use 2nd. I'm worried that tree style reticle will be to busy for me. I've only been around this style a couple times so looking for some input from people who are/have run them. Thanks in advance!

I am assuming your speaking of the kind that look like an upside down tree
I have one on a 204 ruger and it is awesome for prairie dogs,, so much so that I am planning to get another for a .223.... I was amazed at how fast it was to get on target at long range ,,, much faster than my friends who were having to dial every shot in,, never tried it for deer hunting, don't plan too but for small game it is great..
I could easily move from hair to hair square to square to lock on the distance and wind drift,, plus my scope remained sighted 3" high at 100 yards

I have been using the Swarovski TDS for several years hunting only no long range stuff 300 yards and in so far 7mm-08 and have two Swarovski BRH one on a 25/06 haven’t shot it yet and one on a 7mm Remington Mag it is a little busier than the TDS but I really like it so far the Swarovski ballistic app is pretty accurate or at least it has been so far

I prefer a standard crosshair with the sub tensions on the lines. Not a tree style. I hate my view being blocked. TMOA. TMR. Nightforce npr1 & 2 etc. they certainly all have their purpose. And I prefer one that’s spaced in MIL or MOA not just a normal bdc to where you have to figure out what yardage your gun shoots on each line like that. The X5 hasn’t been a hot seller. You can buy a lot nicer scope for the same money. Obviously the swaro glass will be tough to beat.
