Ankle gun - Ruger LCR or Smith 642

I'm leaning toward the 642 but also like the idea of a 9mm LCR. I can find both guns used in .38 for basically the same price. Looking for any pros/cons to either one over the other.

Go with a little 380. They’re a lot thinner and basically undetectable. I’ve tried both; I carry a kel tec and sold a 642.

I currently have a ruger lcp that I carry in an ankle holster for back up while on duty. I am leaning toward a revolver for contact shots. Carrying the lcp on my ankle I have found that a ton of junk gets built up behind the hammer and that obviously is a concern.

I had a 9mm LCR, it's over rated.
I prefer the S&W J frame.
