Ares Shrike Belt Fed M16/AR upper??

Anyone have experience with one of these belt fed uppers??


Honestly, it kinda falls into more of a novelty arena & wouldn't consider it on a semi, but would kinda be nice to say I own a belt feed. Got a lead on a clean used unit but really not much out there to gauge value.

Didn't even know a belt upper was available for the platform??

I’ve ran a few belts through one on a M-16. The general consensus was if you could get through half a belt you were doing great. The guys I was with had tried thousands of rounds through it without much better luck regardless of spring and buffer setup.

Out of 20ish belts that day I think we had one or two that ran through without a hiccup. Most were multiple hiccups per belt.
