supressor wait time

my tax stamp was cashed 2/22/18, when should I expect to receive my suppressor? does anybody know what month that they are processing off of right now?

Supposedly it just went to considerably longer than a year. There a federal employees that work as examiners for the NFA branch, and then there were contractors helping them out as well. All of the contractors were let go after the government shut down.

so does atf do there part then it goes to fbi for background then back to atf?
the lady told me they were waiting in background to come back from fbi. have a CHL but I assume that does not speed up

CHL does not speed anything up. with the shutdown, they are probably further behind....

I haven't found anyone in the dealer or manufacturer world that has any info on this being true other than a random FB post someone made. Right now people that call in are being told an average of 9 months.

It's hard, but the best thing to do is forget about it until they contact you.

OP, many people get caught in a longer FBI background check than normal, which adds 3-6 months to the process. You could be caught in that. I was, mine took 11ish months right before the shutdown.

The person who originated the message is pretty big into the MG world, and has been a dealer for some time. Not saying that adds any validity to it. I know him on a somewhat personal level, but not well enough to call truth or BS. I put supposedly for that reason. I do hope you’re right though. I haven’t filed a stamp in close to 5 years, and finally have a couple I want to send off.
