Thinking about getting a Winchester model 70xtr chambered in 222 in almost new shape. Wood in immaculate and the blueing on the barrel is in great shape as well. I would say it is still at least 90% or maybe better. It has the black tip like the Remington CDL. What’s the gurus opinion on worth? Looks like it was made in 1978 from the serial number.

I think I made a pretty fair deal on it. It belonged to a 84yr old man that did not shoot many rounds through it. Has sat in the safe most of its life.

That value on Gunbroker is asking price and he his first ad at that price expired Jan 30. Market is not paying that much apparently. There are a couple on 24 hour campfire that were said to have sold for 1K to 1300 in 2015. Guns auction sold one in 2013 for 600.
