It does not, unless maybe you have proof you have been shooting matches, but just being an NRA member does not qualify you. I know if you are a USPSA member and have proof of shooting matches it will qualify you, cause that is what i did

May have changed, but I used either NRA or TSRA to buy rifles from them in the past.

I love my Garand and have won several CMP John C. Garand matches with it. My only advice to a new garand shooter is to take special care reloading and make sure your le not over pressure because really the only thing that can tear a Garand up is the ammunition you put in it. A bent Op rod will ruin your day.

Right, it was that proof of marksmanship or other related activity that i was thinking about. At the time i ordered mine i had an NRA and TSRA membership, but i had to meet one of those other requirements and didn't have a chl, etc. But i did shoot USPSA which met those requirements. You may have satisfied those requirments in a different way

I just knew I had bought from them, but it was years ago. I had my CHL though.

                  Have a wonderful day.

You have to have a club affiliation. They have garand collectors association you can register online for $25 that will do. I have chl also. I'm selling a couple to buy a Garand. Its on my always wanted/bucket list to own. Don't think they'll go down in value
