I am a member, but do not participate regularly. Now that hunting season is over, will go out to my area CAS club as often as possible.

Outlaw Dave here. My home club is Thunder River Renigades in Todd Mission, TX . I also shoot at Willow Hole in North Zulch. Both are great clubs. I’ve been shooting for exactly 1 year today and loving every minute. Right now I’m shooting sass state for sure and also plan on shooting trailhead. The TSRA state shoot is a great shoot. It will be held at THSS in May. I shoot 49er. I reloaded years ago but got away from it. I just got s Dillion 550 and a Mech sizemaster to help some with cost and just custom loading ammo. I shoot a Uberti 73 short rifle 357/38 with action work done by Lefty Wheeler. Mh pistols s Ruger Vaqueros sass models with action work done by Tom Lassiter. My shotgun in s SKB 200 with action work done by shotgun boogie. I’m in it for the fun but also in it for friendly competition. I’ve never met suck great people in my life. I’ll look up plum creek I’ll message you when I know when I’ll be able to visit.

What part of Houston are you in? The Thunder River Renigades in Todd Mission is right outside of Tomball. Great club ! We shoot on the 1st and 4th weekend. I would checkout the SASS web page and also the Thunder River Renigades page on the net and FB. Our next shoot is the 4th weekend. Come on out we love to introduce new people to the sport.

Used to shoot at the Texas Pistoleros in Eagle lake years ago. They are no longer around.

Getting back into it with my son. Haven’t shot a match in a long time but looking forward to this season. Guns are all tuned up, leather oiled and gun cart is stocked and ready to go.

Wanting to hit some of the clubs a little farther out this year..

In central Tx there are several clubs. Plum Creek by Lockhart shoots first weekend, usually both Saturday and Sunday this time of year. Texican Rangers near Fredericksburg/Comfort Shoots 2nd weekend both Saturday and Sunday. Darby Rough Regulators near Smithville shoots 2nd Saturday. Finally Green Mountain Regulators shoots 4th Saturday near Marble Falls. Green Mountain will be hosting the State Black Powder Match in the Fall.

I used to shoot pretty regularly in early 2000's. I live a few miles from the club near Todd Mission. We shot off Mueschke Rd back then. Went to a few state matches, one at THSS Columbus and South Central Regional in Fredricksburg. Ended up at 6th in my Class at Regional, but that was a long time ago!

You should dust off the guns and come out and shoot with us. I have plenty of guns if you need to borrow any.
