New Remington 700 experts help

Does anyone know if the 700 Mountain SS has the “trap door” magazine or a detachable clip? The later I hope. The owners manual speaks of “detachable” on some models but doesn’t specify which models. Thanks Bradford

I had one with thr Drop Magazine. It was considered a Remington 700 SS DM

Most all Remington factory rifles do not include a detachable mag, including this one.

I have a 700 with factory detachable magazine. Not a mountain rifle though.

The new mountain rifles i have seen had the BDL floorplate not a detachable magazine.

It has the BDL floor plate. I wish they had made this in a 24" bbl instead of the 22" and in 6.5 PRC. I'd be all over it.

New Remington Mountain rifles have BDL style floor plates, older versions have had DB magazines, while even older versions were the ADL style blind magazines. I have an older style .280 ADL version that shoots one hole groups that I'd never part with !
