I just called APR and changed my 20” 7-08 to a 1:8 twist. They said they currently had 4 orders for 20” 7-08 with 1:8 twist, so we still need 1 more. He did say there were a couple guys that ordered 22” barrels and he was going to call them to see if they’d switch to 20”.

decided on a 7mm08 for a nice south texas deer rig for my younger boys. gonna suppress so went 20 inch. want to be able to shoot 120gr to 140gr.
I assume 1-9 would be the best fit for that bullet?

1:9 or 1:8. I think most of the guys who went 20" in the proof carbon fiber barrel went 1:8 so you will probably have to go 1:8 to get in on the 20" barrels as they don't make that normal production but would build it with a 5 barrel minimum.

You won't hurt anything by going 1:8 over the 1:9
