    Taylors Firearms

Curious how these lever guns stack up to the Winchester's.I had my heart set on Winchester in 44mag til I saw the Taylors..Man,it's a good looking rig.

I believe they’re made by uberti so quality should be good. I doubt they’re on par with a Winchester, but I would think they’d shoot and hold up well.

What model are you looking at?

        T.C. I saw them on Ray's Sporting good site.It had an indian/mexican name.I don't remember exactly..In either 357,or 44mag..He's got the Winchester's,and Taylors both.I'm gonna do a little sxs comparison.I'd bet I end up with a Winchester.

I’ve heard mixed reviews. But the bad things have come from die hard Winchester and colt guys. I have been looking at the uberti / cimarron / Taylor’s 1873 that’s case colored with the checkered traditional stock. Very good looking rifles and handle well. Not many go up for sale used so that tells me folks enjoy them or I’d think you’d see a bunch more for sale.

Is it the Comanchero? Looks good, but the 73 won’t handle stout loads. The 92 will. At that cost I would probably go with a Winchester 92 model.
