CCI is all I shoot. I shoot left handed and the cheaper 22 ammo blows powder in my face.Last edited by UncleBubba; 01-04-2019, 10:19 AM.

With 22 long rifle, the more expensive the ammo, generally the more consistent and accurate it is up to a point. You do reach a point of diminishing returns.
It is, also rifle specific. What Shoots Great in one rifle does not necessarily shoot as good and another. It is also range dependent. Some of this ammo Will Group great at 50 yards in your rifle but not so good at a hundred yards and vice versa.
I have a friend that shoots Anschutz rifles for groups and even amongst the most expensive and mid priced ammo, each of his Anschutz rifles likes a different brand of the mid priced and expensive stuff and different rifles shoot tighter groups at different ranges with different ammo.
When you find something that you like, you should buy a lot of the same Lot number. That's another issue that was raised. Even ammo that shoots the tightest groups will vary by Lot number. So it is important to buy a large amount in the same lot once you find what works best.
"The one thing that is consistent is that the really cheap ammo, and pretty much anything supersonic, isn't going to shoot as well as mid priced "match" ammo."
