    Picatinny Rail and scope rings

I just ordered a Bergara rifle and bought a Athlon Scope. Just need some suggestions on rail mount and rings. Scope has a 50mm objective. Will medium rings clear?

mediums will clear, lows may clear but would be close. Lows clear a 4x16x44 scope with a 0 moa rail on one of my setups, with a little room to spare.

        Another Question.
Is a 22-250 considered long or short action?

Depends on some manufacturers with height. Will say that with Warne rail and rings you may need to go high. Recently installed a pair of Hawkins hybrid rings and the lows would possibly work with that set up so it can vary.

          A 22-250 is a SA.

Barrel contour can require more or less also. Bergara are compatible with 700 accessories I believe so should be the same. Thank you. It’s has a #6 contour barrel.
Yes it is compatible with Remington 700.

                    Go with Seekins rings.

Need to know what size tube is on the scope to properly answer the ring question. If it’s 30mm then lows should work depending on manufacturer. I agree on going with seekins.

                        30mm tube.
                        I will look into Seekins.

Seekins 20MOA rail and Seekins 1.26” rings leave >0.5” clearance between barrel and my Nikon Black 50mm scope.
Impulsively pulled the trigger on the rings because they were a deal... turned out to be the “extra high” version and guess what? They’re extra high.

Thanks. I ended up buying a weaver 20 Moa rail and vortex tactical medium rings.
                            Couldn’t afford seekins.
