Vortex scope questions

I bought a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 (DBK-04-BDC) late last season. Now with almost a full season I have decided I want a sunshade for it, I spoke with Vortex they said they don’t make one for it and OpticsPlanet doesn’t have one the “recommend” for it. Has anyone added a sunshade to this scope and if so what is it? A link to it would be great. Much appreciated group and hope everyone has/had a Merry Christmas!!

I have 2 of those scopes. Great scopes except they do seem to get more glare than others and I have one blind that faces almost west. This is the only one i know of. Its a slip over and stays on pretty well, but i have knocked it off before when moving through brush, so that is something to remember to watch for.

Thanks. I have seen those, vortex told me about them. But I was wanting something threaded and would screw on. I don’t know what the thread pattern and inside measurement of the scope is.

I think most scopes are threaded the same if you find a 40 it should work.

Not necessarily. Apparently 40mm isn’t the same diameter among various manufacturers. I’ve got a few 50mm objective size scopes and they do not measure out the same.
