one of my newer custom rifles ... with build specs

    action maker: Stolle Kelbly
action model: Kodiak … 1 lbs. 12 ozs.
barrel: 22" ABS bull with Ti brake 1:10" chambered in .243 Win
(ABS was the CF originator who sold out to PROOF)
stock: Kelbly Varminter … 1 lbs. 8 ozs.
    trigger: Jewell 12 ozs.
bottom metal: HS Precision Gen 1 detach mag
    rings: ARC M10 - 30mm
base: picatinny mounted to integral dovetail
    glass: S&B Zenith 1,5 x 6 - 42mm, illuminated FD7 FFP reticle
weight: approx. 8.5 lbs. as pictured
    primary use: deer, pigs, coyotes

This rifle is such a pleasure to shoot due to limited recoil and being able to witness kills through the scope.
I shot a javelina at 170 yds. on it's maiden voyage.
I purchased the rifle "used, like new", only thing I would have changed, 1:8" twist barrel.

Blake, do you see any changes from ABS to Proof that you can notice? I can't remember if ABS was a cut barrel or button barrel since Proof cuts their barrels. I'll bet money that the .243 in those pics will shoot and those Kelbly actions are silky. Gonna nut up and order one sooner or later...

IIRC, ABS used Rock Creek barrels (cut)

I've shot this rifle 9 times; 8 for load development and 1 for the javelina kill. Previous owner reported to me the rifle was shot < 300 times. At the range, I loaded Lapua brass with 38.0 grs of Varget under a Sierra 85 gr HPBT (my absolute favorite 6mm bullet). After zeroing scope, I shot two 3-shot groups that were under 1/2". I have no doubt the rifle will shoot better once I fine tune for accuracy.
