I just ran a 150 gr. 7 rem mag pill through 2 last weekend. The exit on the 1st pig was bigger than my fist.

Define devastating. I kill them dead with my .223, .257 Roberts, 6.5 X 55, .270, 7MM SAUM. Dead is dead. My GF kills them with her .22/250.

My 25-06 had DRT’d 2-3 pigs with the 117 grains too

I don’t worry about them running, head shots kill regardless. I want something that leaves a hole, even though it sounds gruesome... I had a 290 pounder get up and walk off after I shot him in the head 3 times with a 22-250

Blow a hole in it. Like the .300wsm shown above. I’ve killed pigs with many calibers, but I want something that makes a mark. I shot a 290 pounder in the head three times at 125 yards with a 22-250 and he got up and walked off like nothing happened

For single shot on pig, bigger the better. For devastation on multiples and the whole sounder, good ol AR-15 chambered in Valk or Grendel

I don't know for a fact but I think those super fast shooting guns, 17HMR, 22-250 ever so often will hit the head and either explode or glance right off the skull and they just walk it off.

Something with knockdown like the .300 WSM I showed above isn't going to glance off.. lol there was no top of either of those pig's heads lol NASTY but that thing kicks very hard.

Get a 300 win, 338 win mag, 300 ultra. But 7 mag with 162 gr sst is pretty devastating

I drilled 4 100ish pound pigs with a single round from my 416igby. The last pig had a the entrance wound of about 1 inch and bigger exit, the bullet was still going.

I have yet to shoot pigs with my 50BMG due to what's beyond it. Maybe one day.

Have some Barnes 647gr TSX's that will make any shot angle possible for hunting. It's on the left,260 Rem in the middle and a 750gr Amax on the right. The amax would probably come apart on a critter.

Just wondering if you meant to say...The amax would Probably make a critter come apart?
A 750 grain Amax going 2800 and some change.....I’m not sure what that would do. But I’m thinking hamburger and missing parts.

I dont know about the "most devastating," but a 300 Win Mag does A LOT of damage.

LOL I saw what you did there

Have shot alot of the 750gr Amax's at steel and paper. Since they are a target bullet they are not built that heavy. With a b.c. of 1.050 they do well. As a matter of fact it shoots flatter and hits over 7 times harder than the darling 6.5 CM. It's going to be the most powerful OTC cartridge other than the not so available 20mm vulcan
