I got my Dad's Marlin about 4 years ago when he decided he had too many medical problems to sit in a stand. He said it would not eject a cartridge and thought the "barrel was bent cause it wouldn't shoot straight". He sold it to me for $50 (he never gave anything away). The ejector was missing so I got another from Midway installed it and torqued the scope mounts and it's dead on,1.25" group.
I know it's pre Remington cause he bought it used about 15 years ago but have never checked the serial # out.
He passed on 2 years ago last month and I miss the #### outta huntin with him! And drinkin , fishing & tellin lies
