I would have to say some time in the 1950's. I found several brochures and thought this one was pretty cool.

For some reason, those old magazines and ads intrigue me. Someone gave me a bunch of old (1940's-1950's) FUR -FISH and GAME magazines when I was a kid and I think they messed me up.

The fact that Frank Pachmayr started the company and was able to survive for as long as he did in the Los Angeles area is remarkable. Being in the gun industry in that ****hole liberal Cali environment can’t be easy.
