I saw a Savage 99 in 7-08 at Young’s in Kerrville yesterday

And the new Marlin 1894CSBL 357

100% correct. Ithaca model 66 , 20 gauge. They were only manufactured from 63 thru 78

My Savage 99’s.... The one on the left is a 99H carbine in 30-30 Winchester.... The one on the right is a 99F in 308 Winchester....

On the left is a Marlin 375..in 375 Winchester caliber..... On the right is a Marlin 336SC sporting carbine..in 35 Remington caliber....
