    An old school 6.5 cal....

This is a Husqvarna 6.5x55.... I’m kind anxious to hunt with it some..... I’ve had it a few years..and don’t even know for sure what model it is.... It had an old red and white rubber pad.... I mounted a decelerator pad..and Leupold 3x9 scope....
I’ve always wanted a rifle in this caliber.... Anyone else have a rifle in this caliber? Sorry..the pics turned on me....

I have a 6.5x55 Swedish in a Winchester feather light. Great caliber with light recoil and good knock down power. You will enjoy shooting your rifle.

I have a Barrett Fieldcraft in the same caliber. I love it. I hunted with a sporterized Swedish Mauser as a kid. My father sold it in an inventory reduction sale unfortunately.

My wife bought me this exact gun for my first anniversary (Awesome wife right) and out of the 15 or so rifles I have, that is the first one I grab.

I went with the 6.5x55 on a rifle I built several years ago just cuz.

I have a Husqvarna Mauser in original military rifle configuration that is chambered in 6.5 x55. Still has the import tags hanging from the trigger guard. I heard they are good shooters. Nice looking rifle.

I bought a Swedish Mauser from a gentleman on this forum a few years back. It is bone stock, and numbers matching.

It’s a lot of fun to shoot. The factory sight is surprisingly accurate out to 100. I’m interested to see how it shoots at 500. I need to reload a few more rounds for it now too.

It is long, and kind of heavy. Recoil is very mild, even with the metal butt plate. It is a 1908 build by the Carl Gustafs factory.
