    If you don’t want ring marks on your scopes, torque your rings to
    Mfr spec. 18-25 in. lbs is pretty common.

      Yes on proper torque. Too little and it'll slip under recoil. Too much and you can leave marks, which some don't mind, but I do. With a cheap scope, you can even damage the tube by overtorqueing.

        Always torque them to the manufacture specifications.

          Wheeler fat Wrench. Small price to invest if your gonna do it right with all the guns you are going to put scopes on in your lifetime.
          Snugging them works. Just not spec.
