    Needing Glock rear sight help

Im trying to replace my rear sight and I don’t want to buy the push tool.

YouTube shows guys using vises and nylon punches but that didn’t work.

Anybody got a rear sight tool they would let me use for 60 seconds?? Or have a better plan. I just don’t want to scratch the finish of my pistol

Brass or Delrin punch, and a hammer.

You’re the only person I’ve ever heard of that cares about a Glock finish haha.

I used delrin punches on mine. I didn't want to buy the tool because I didn't know if I would ever use it again.

I bought a sight pusher a couple years ago. It is a universal model, with different spacer blocks.

It works pretty good, but you do need to take the time to set it all up and then it goes smoothly.

I’ve used it on a handful of pistols so far, and it has been great.

It looks quite a bit like this: Handgun Sight Tool Universal for Front or Rear Dovetail Sights , Glock, 1911 or Other Handguns with Parallel Sided Slides. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016X5STKS..._qgGIBb6CK5ZNA

They’ve come down in price recently it appears.

Banging on a tritium sight, even with a brass or delrin drift just seems like a bad idea in my mind.

I installed OEM sights when building my Polymer 80 so it wasn't a concern for me. But I agree if I used those I would either pay someone or buy the proper tool. I love tools, I just don't like buying them for one time uses.

Thanks guys I’m gonna look for Delrin punch set or maybe bite the bullet and get a pusher tool

I own three glocks and my dad owns one. I guess there’s four rear sights I can replace if I get ambitious.

I use my arbor press. Here is a link to a video that shows how to do it. It works great and can be used for other things.

I’ve got a pusher I was planning on selling. Comes with a handful of different model “shoes”. I’ll send details Tuesday when I’m back in the office if you’re interested.
