    Nikon Black RangeX 4K Rangefinder

Does anyone have the newer Nikon Black RangeX 4K rangefinder yet? I was looking hard at the sig kilo 2200 but this Nikon looks pretty good also. Not a ton of reviews yet online so was hoping someone here has one.

Kilo is a proven unit. I absolutely love mine. I haven’t talked to a single person with complaints. Mine has ranged well past 2000. Obviously that was highly reflective targets but it did it.

I have not had ones in my hands since SHOT Show but I was impressed by Nikon's BLACK RANGEX 4K. It is currently on sale for $50 off from participating Nikon Dealers until this Sunday, the 26th. Heck of a deal!
I found this unbiased review that might help you in your decision making.

I’ll preface by saying I haven’t tried one but I wouldn’t buy any Nikon optic regardless of price point based on past experience with them.

The Sig Kilo is the best rangefinder at a reasonable price out there right now.

I'm not sure what sort of experience you had with a Nikon but I assure you their CS has been completely reworked in the past 5 years and they stand behind their products. I have been doing freelance work with Nikon for almost 10 years and I am happy to help anyone out who has an issue with a Nikon product. A blanket statement that the kilo is the best out there after not even looking at the BLACK RANGEX 4K just isn't fair to those looking for the best rangefinder for them.

Thanks guys for the info! What kind of range are you getting out of the kilo’s on non reflective targets?

Definitely Sig over Nikon for a range finder. Or...step up to a Leica and don’t look back.

I just ordered one.... should be here in about a week.

I have a Bushnell Scout DX 1000 ARC 6 x 21mm Laser Rangefinder now. It was a nice LRF, but it was limited to around ~500yds (with a tripod onto a berm at the shooting range). I shoot long range quite often and really wanted to start doing more unknown distances.

Quick review after 1 evening with it.

1st test was a water tower by the house. It was easily measured at 665yds.

Moved to soccer fields and it did a good job of measuring my son at 250 against the trees at 300. It was able to measure the longest treeline i could find at 1450yds.

Longest sight line was to a water tower at 2588yds, confirmed with Google maps. I shot this with assistance of a soccer goal post and it ranged about 90% of the time.

Going to play a bit more, but generally pleased. I was looking for something that would get to 1 mile.
