    Dead Air Sandman K reviews?

These can be had from silencer shop for 800 out the door stamp trust everything. Any one have any reviews on it? Would be running on an AR in .223 a bolt .204 and eventually a 300 black or 7.62x39. Looks like it would be the perfect little hunting can being as light and short as it is.

I just want something to tame it down enough to bearable in the field without ear pro but still not be super long or heavy. I dont need hollywood quiet

I don't have any experience with the K but I do have an L and an S, both do the job nicely and just going off of hearing you can't really notice a sound difference between the two. I'd imagine you'll get similar results with a K.

Sorry... But I don't get the point. I've shot several full legnth cans on several guns everything from 9mm to 300 win mag and always wished they had even more suppression.

This is going to be even worse because of the legnth being so short... For $130 bucks more you can get a sandman Ti, have more suppression and only weighs a few ounces more...

To each their own, hope y'all like it

I have shot quite a few to and always wished they were shorter haha. I am okay with it being louder than a 12” suppressor hanging off the front making the gun unwieldy. Even a 5 inch can is better than no can like I currently shoot in hunting situations and most of the time with out ear pro. More interested in how short it is more than the weight of it. I am all ears if there are similar options within an inch of length that suppressor better

I’m planning on getting one. No centerfire rifle cans are truly “hearing safe” in the long term. Plus the majority of my shooting is at the range where you’re required to wear ear pro anyways.

Taming the muzzle blast, reduced recoil, being able to sit in a stand with my son and not terrify him, or use inside our house in a HD scenario is more important to me than being 5-7 dB quieter on a meter.

The fact of the matter is, I’m not going to use an 8” can anywhere but at the range off the bench. My 24” barreled rifles are cumbersome enough as it is in the woods.

From the video reviews online, they do not seem to be too quiet with a .223 platform.

I would be interested in hearing firsthand experience though.

The K is loud. It just is. It does knock the level down for sure, but OP if you don't already have a can I think you will be much happier with a Sandman-S, or a Ti.

I agree. The shorter the can, the less baffles and the louder it will be. There’s just no way around that. If you’re going to go through the expense and hassle of getting a can, get the most effective on you can afford. There are plenty of cans that are under 8”, light weight and plenty effective.

Crux ARK being one of them.

Just saw this and thought of you, OP. Police trade-in Sandman S for $600: https://dsgarms.com/daa-sms762b-pti

Use a Sandman S on my Rock River 7.62x39 and it does a great job. Would not want anything less.
