    Which shells 300 RUM ?

    Since Remington no longer makes shells for my rifle which off the shelf box would you buy ? Will be going Elk hunting in Colorado this then whitetails and hogs .

    all you can do is try them,, i personally prefer hornady but have never been disappointed in federal or winchester... i never had any love for remington ammo

              I hand load a 180gr Nosler accubond for mine and they've proven themselves to me they can handle muleys and elk. Accubonds are too hard for the thin skinned little deer here in Texas though. So you might want to consider Noslers Trophy Grade 300 RUM 180 AccuBond® Ammo

                I shoot the Nosler trophy grade 180 Accubond stuff out of mine and it likes it. I’ve shot a couple white tails and a muley with it and it did the job in a hurry on them all. I wouldn’t hesitate to use that load on an elk.

                Here’s the last group I shot with it out of a factory Remington 700 in a McMillan stock with a Saker 762 on the end.

                  What are the specs on your loads if you don't mind me asking? What rifle are you shooting? What kind of groups are you getting?
                  I hand load for mine also and haven't found my favorite just yet..
