    Silencerco Harvester- anyone have one?

Found one for $550 sans thread insert. Will be run on my 6.5 CM bolt gun and a 10.5” 300BO SBR. Reviews seem to be pretty decent. Looking for firsthand experiences with them before I pull the trigger.

I have a lot of clients that have them. I'm generally not a fan of the Harvester especially on and SBR. On Your 6 5 precision rifle it should be acceptable. My advice would be to pick up a Sig srd762 rekt thread which should not be too much more. Or a griffin Armament or a dead air Sandman direct thread it's a lot more suppressor and the Harvester. Occasionally Harvesters do fail due to the fact that they are built on the Ragged edge of the materials that they are using for the wait

The harvester is not designed to be used for high rates of fire. It is strictly a “hunting” suppressor meaning a few rounds at a time then a complete cool down. It’s not made for hard use. I know of a guy who has been through 2 due to “hard use” and silencer CO was giving him a hard time about shooting too much through it.

I agree the griffins or dead air seem to have better reviews for heavy shooting or plinking.

I have a griffin Recce 5 and love it.

I've got one and I like it. I use it on my bolt guns and AR-15s (556 and 300bo's). It works great. The main barrel of the can is aluminum....I don't do multiple mag dumps through it but you can run it on an AR-15 as long as your not playing commando.

10 rounds in 2 minutes then a 20-30 minute cool down too much for it?

I've had one for several years now and can't say anything negative about it. I have it on an 18" 308 bolt action. Extremely quiet on my rifle. As stated though, not rated for rapid fire.

No, I've shot quite a bit more than that and have had zero issues.

I would think not should be fine

I run one on several bolt guns and I haven’t had any issues. I use it for hunting and some LR shooting work. It’s light weight but a little long. If you screw it into a barrel that’s longer than 20” it gets a little difficult to maneuver in the woods and really hard to work with in a blind. Other than that it’s been great. Little POI shift with it on/off. I got a suppressor cover for it to help with heat and scratching it in the field. It’s not as strong as my dead air but I also don’t treat it like it’s made of glass. I’ve done 10 rounds in a minute for several mins straight without any issues. You’ll definitely want to let it cool off for a while after that kind of shooting though.

I can't say I'd recommend Griffin, having had two of the Sportsmans. Very heat sensitive, just with a bolt action.

I'm looking at the thunderbeast ultra in 6.5 next.

I have one and no issues. I 've had it on my guns from 223 to 300 win mag and no problems. 10 rounds in 2 minutes work fine.
