TC Venture Scope Base Problem - HELP

I recently bought a TC Venture from another THB member and purchased a Viper Vortex scope and Vortex Precision rings to put on the rifle. The rifle came with bases from the manufacture. The bottom part of the scope ring that fits into the groove of the base is wider that the slot on the bases...so the rings won't fit on the bases. See pic.

I have looked on the internet for different bases for the TC Venture, but with no luck.

Anyone have this issue? Anyone know where I can get another set of TC Venture bases that will fit the Vortex Precision scope rings?

P.S. I have reached out to our resident Vortex expert (Arrowsmith) hoping he may have a solution.

The Vortex rings are made for a picatinny style base and it looks like the base you have is for Weaver style rings. The groove on a picatinny base is wider than a Weaver style. So you either need to find a picatinny base or get Weaver style rings.

Quick Google search shows EGW makes a rail for the TC that would work.

Talked to Tim at Vortex.

He said to call Evolution Gun Works 215-538-1012 and talk to Cody.

They have a one piece base for you TC Venture. That will be a better set up than the two piece base.
