Been curious about this stuff, so I tried it with my "truck gun". She had quite a few battle scars and I was never a fan of the OD lower receiver.
I used the Duracoat Shake and Spray in Midnight Bronze. The stripper was great, took every bit of grime and old powder and CLP residue off. The spray system could use some tweaking, and if I was to do another I would probably go with their "Can in a Can" system, though they are limited on colors right now.
