    Why you do not go cheapest route on the Grendel

    Just happened.Specs. Wilson Combat upper/lower set. Christensen Arms 6.5 Grendel barrel. Jp bcq and Young bolt. I have about 40-50 rounds through this rifle with a JP bolt. This time I was settin


    Bolt that broke on the 2nd shot with it. The company that makes this cheap bolt has a history of bolts breaking with low round counts.

    And before you blame it on handloads. This was with Hornady Black factory ammo.

        Not sure id call a young bolt cheap when you can get a few complete bcg's around the same price. I get the sentiment though. When you're pushing certain components through stress/less material pay attention. The jp is only $30 more. Saterns are $30 less

          Seems like a bad bolt. My brother is running a budget Grendel and it shoots close to as good as my shilen bolt/barrel. He has no issues.
