    Savage 110 varmint in 22-250

    Has anyone else had problems with light primer strike causing fail to fire on this Savage or others like it

    I love my savages and hate to point to a problem.
    But wondered if this was common or an easy fix.

    Only 100 Rounds down the tube and last three attempted shots, only one bang.

    Could be the ammo possible? Other wise I could imagine savage would repair it for you.

      Different ammo. Same result.

        Disassemble the bolt and clean, make sure the firing pin spring isn't in a bind or broke.

          My son has a Savage Axis that has had light strikes, but it operates fine with Federal Fusion ammo and other. Hornady Whitetail has been the culprit in his

            You should be able to adjust the firing pin to fix the problem.
