Does anyone have any first hand experience with Henry Long Ranger? I've read the reviews online, but was wondering if anyone from the green screen had any opinions. I've the hankering for a new gun and this one has peaked my interest. Thanks!!!

I have one in 308. I like it a lot. Very accurate out to 200 yds. I have not shot it at any longer distances. Once you get it broke in the workings become a lot smoother.
Mine shoots Federal Fusion ammo very well.
The rifle is solid with great craftsmanship.
I also have one of the new Henry single shot rifles in 308. Both are great looking rifles.

Yes
Its a real nice rifle and makes more sense than most will admit. I sold mine in hopes they would produce an All-Weather version which is something they just might do according to Henry.
I’m not going to caliber debate but the 308 gets the job done with cheap and available ammo.
You can leave one chambered with the box out and pop the lever when the Po-Po pulls you over. But its quick enough pulling the mag and ejecting the cartridge.

I've got a .243 and it's a stunner.
First trip to the range tomorrow actually... just fire forming, sighting, and breaking it... be a few trips until I start working up a load and shooting groups.
The action does seem a little stiff and clunky, so I'm glad (and not surprised) to hear it will smooth out.
