    Need Load Data - 7mm-08

Made a call in to Berger and got the info I needed then called Nosler with no answer and forgot to try them back. I need load data or at least a starting point for the 140gr Nosler Ballistic Tip with H4350. Its is not a combination listed in my manual.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Age you looked at Nosler and Hodgdon online?

I checked both of my Nosler books - 5th and 7th edition. Neither had data for the H4350. Both of them listed data for the IMR4350 in several NBT sizes - 120, 140, 150.

Hornady's data for 139 grain bullets, including their SST had the IMR4350 as well, but nothing for the H4350.

Sierra has data for 140 grain bullets with IMR-4350, but not H4350.

In Hornady's burn rate chart in the 8th edition, they show IMR4350 and H4350 right after each other. Now, I know this is not a powder substitution chart, but I just was pointing out that it stands out to me that they are so close together on the burn rate chart, but neither Nosler, Hornady, or Sierra list H4350 for the 7mm-08 140 grain, but they all list the IMR4350.

Wonder if there is a good reason for that?

Lee 2nd Edition lists H4350 for 140 grain Jacketed Bullets with a starting grains of 45 at 2692 fps, and a never exceed value of 48 (which is a Compressed charge) - 2868 fps at 58419 PSI

      All the best,
      Glenn

Strange right? I don’t see why this wouldn’t be a good powder for this cartridge.

My max charges for my 140 & 150 Bergers is 45 and 45.5

May just start out a touch higher than what I’m starting my bergers at and work up.
