I've ordered a Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5 X 55 and have a decision to make on the scope. I've looked around and have narrowed it down to three models. A Leupold VX-R 4-12X40, a VX-3i 4.5-14X40, or a Swaro Z3 3-10-42. I'm leaning towards the Swaro. Any suggestions?

No, I don't have them yet. Those are the scopes I'm considering for a new rifle purchase. I've have Leupold on nearly everything I have, but I searched around a found a pretty good deal on a Swaro so it's my top choice for now. but, it is about $200 more than the Leupolds I listed.Originally posted by TexMax View PostComment

Gotcha. I guess my point was if your price range extends into the $800 arena there are other scopes to consider that would be more comparable to the swaro. Not necessarily better but worth a look. Steiner gs3, hd5, vx5 etc. Optically not as good probably but at least in the ballpark with some different reticle/turret optionsComment
