    Ah, components are different. The glass is not as he stated in his conversation. “Optic quality is the same, but not the exact same components”. He’s right in the components not being the same. There may be more (or less) glass but the glass is the same. Obviously the erector systems are different to achieve the 5x adjustment range of the VX5, and 6x adjustment range of the VX6.

    Both are great glass and I agree, my VX6HDs are very close to my Swarovski Z5.

        Technically scopes don’t gather light, they transmit it. As to 40/44/50mm objectives there is a difference in light transmission until you get below the 4:1 ratio of magnification/objective size. If you drop below that a larger objective definitely helps.
