    Non-rotation trigger and hammer pins

Anyone use them? What do you think of them? Any recommendations?

I had a pin walk itself out yesterday on the range. Had about 40 shots in before it happened. Thinking of getting these to prevent it from happening again.

I do have a set on one of my Form 1 SBRs, the thought was for longevity since it was on a tax stamp and wanted to lessen the chance of future wear as much as possible.

Never really thought about one bailing after 40 rounds though. Something seems way off about that. Maybe it wasn’t properly seated or was pushed too far to begin with?

Yea I bought this gun used but I don't think they shot it very often. Never had one don't hat before either. Just seems like putting them on would prevent that so one less thing to worry about in the future.

Oh it definitely wouldn’t hurt and they’re not that hard af all to change out. Something just seems odd though but I guess that’s not surprising with it having been a used rifle.

Any idea on the history? Know the previous owner and did they give a round count? Was it a “box rifle” or did they build/have it built?

I have them on every AR I own. Cheap insurance for quality guns.

I had to put them on a Spikes lower that would not keep the trigger pin in. Since then they are on every build I do.

That's what I'm thinking too. Which ones do you use?

I have them on a couple ARs, but my real high end ones have Giessele triggers and I run the pins that were included in those triggers.

                        KNS or CMC.

Just a though you might want to Check to see that the legs of your trigger and hammer springs to make sure they haven’t broken or been installed incorrectly. The only time I’ve seen pins walk out (other than one receiver with wallowed out pin holes) was an m4 that had the hammer spring legs installed under the trigger pin instead of resting on top of the pin. Just a thought although kns does make a nice product too.

My thoughts too. What's wrong that let them walk out?

Ive got them installed on my ARs with Giessele Triggers as well, including my three Larue's. They shoot great with the KNS pins installed as well.
