    .224 bullet for hogs?

What bullet are you having success with for hogs?

I’ve just been using 55 grain American Eagle factory ammo. I’m setup to reload and know I can get much better performance than that. But I’ve been lazy.

Anyone using the 70 grain Triple Shock or are there better options?

Head shots with soft points. Middle of the head. Big pig, small pig, dead pig. We have killed a PILE of them with a .223 shooting the Hornady 55 grainers.

Make sure they group. If cheapo groups shoot that.

I’ve killed a boatload of pigs with the TSX bullets with both the 223 and 22-250.

I really like the 70 grain TSX.

Other good options are the 60 grain Nosler Partitions and occasionally thereare places that will sell the 62 grain Fusion bullets that have been pulled.

Just stay away from the varmint bullets.

I’ve not had a problem finding the 62 gr Fusions at Academy. What do you mean pulled?

He mentioned reloading. I’ve had a couple of places that have sold just the Fusion bullets for reloading.
