I've got an X bolt hunter 30-06 and a stainless x bolt carbon fluted 270 wsm. Other than heavy trigger pull, I love them. Had a new spring put in the 270 wsm and now it breaks at around 2.5 lbs. Need to get the 06 done. 06 shoots under an inch usually and the wsm around 1/2" with factory 140 gr Accubonds. I really like the tang saftey and short bolt throw. Well made, accurate rifles.
I looked at them when they first came out. I love my A Bolt II, but the comb on the X Bolt is much lower and not a good fit for me. Otherwise, I like them.
I don't know about the x bolt but if they're anything like my a-bolt medallion .270 they are awesome guns. I had my trigger worked on a d it's very accurate. Shoots half inch groups with cheapo core loks.
I have two x-bolts and they are consistent 3/4 shooters with factory ammunition. Same thing with my A-Bolt and A-Bolt II. As others have said, the trigger is not the best but it is an easy remedy.
Have a new xbolt in 300WM that I really like. Lightweight and accurate with a cold barrel
this! I have x-bolt in 6.5 creedmoore - once the barrel gets hot it starts losing accuracy - not because the gun is flawed, but because the thermals creating an optical illusion when looking through the scope. shots go from touching at 100 yds, to 2" groups real fast. anything beyond the 6 rounds fired back to back start to see that issue.
I have an X bolt medallion in 243. I freaking love the gun. Great action, and it shoots lights out. I want to get a white gold medallion in Xbolt soon.
Fantastic guns...my 17 year old son has a 30-06 X-bolt and he has drilled animals out to 300 yards
My .270 A-bolt is super accurate and it's my "go to gun"
Have a Browning XBolt hells canyon long range 6.5 creedmoor and with factory ammo on a windy day with a 10x scope it's easily sub moa. Getting into 1/2" groups 5 shots. Will be reloading for it soon so should easily get that. Shot a pig at 300 last Sunday almost no drop on bullet and dropped it all be it the word on the ELDX is still back and forth
I have a x bolt 308 long range. I'm not that great of a shot, but can shoot under moa with it. Definitely the shooters fault not the gun. I've taken it out to 400 and it has done well. Best shooting rifle that I have owned.
