Tomorrow is opening day of Muzzleloading season

Got a couple speed loaders ready and backpack loaded up. Supposed to get some snow in the morning. Using my .54 TC Hawken and a .530 round ball under 100 grains of goex olde eynsford fffg powder. Had some decent groups with this combo. Round balls have been a challenge for a while. Something always happens like misfires, front sight getting bumped off, rushed shots or plain misses. I will get one with a round ball!

Good luck! Always kinda of wished Texas had a dedicated muzzleloader season.

Not a dedicated season like he's talking about. ML seasons in other states is a BIG deal, Arkansas in mid-October prior to gun season.

No deer today. Our season is today thru December 24.

Good luck. I've killed a truckload of deer with my .54 and patched round balls.

It shoots conical bullets better especially after 75 yards. I don’t plan to shoot past that anyway. Where I am using it that would be a long shot.
