It takes a little getting used to. You have to make sure it's armed to register the shot. I've forgotten to do this a few times. I later adjusted the "time out" function to be longer and no longer have that issue.

There are some other small quirks that taking getting used to. All in all I trust the readings more than any other chronograph. Bryan Litz tested it next to the Ohler's with the same results.

I also didn't want to do load work up without seeing velocities at the same time. I didn't like the idea of working up a load with something on the barrel either. Pointless in my opinion.

    I've been 100% satisfied

Midway had them for a steal the other day.

I’d love to give it a try one day. I have a regular chronic and like you I prefer to shoot for grouping and velocity at the same time.

As much as we harp that the barrel MUST be free floated and isolated for best accuracy, I don’t see how strapping something to the end of the barrel can’t have any effect.

Brownells had them for $450 shipped. That tripped my trigger.

That was the one I saw. I paid almost twice that a year and a half ago. I knew they would come down.
I heard of a battery issue so I bought a large USB battery pack at Walmart for it and that is all I have run it on.

I also have the bench stand and tripod. Depending on length of your barrel and depth of bench I've had to put it on the tripod next to the muzzle.

I ordered the next toy. An AMP annealer. Anxious to try that out this week.

I love mine but I've had the same question.

Glad I missed the sale, saved me $450! Cheapest I've seen it lately was $500.

Have you guys had issues at the range picking up the person next to you?

I currently have a magneto speed V3 that I use during load development. It may affect my group size, but it definitely affects my POI. I've been meaning to go back and re-do some load development without it attached, but I'm getting <.5 MOA or less with or without the V3 attached so it's not much of a priority right now.

Pretty much everybody has or had them for &499. Brownells had them for that plus a 10% off deal with free shipping.
