    Got my Ammo mixed together.

    I've got a 300 Wsm.
I have 150 and 165 grain ammo I keep it in 20 round plastic ammo boxes.
    I have both weights intermixed.

    It's all Federal Fusion.
I'm thinking of buying a scale and weighing each round.
    Is that a good method?

Easiest is to not mix them up..

Did you hand load it? If you did, I'm assuming you know the powder charges you used. If not, you run the risk that the factory powder charge for each weight of bullet is different enough that you can't be sure which is which. Also, different lots of brass can weigh different amounts.

            It's all factory.
I considered the things, that's why I was thinking thatv weighing them would be best.,.

It can all be hit or miss because it’s factory and QC isn’t always the best.

Not to mention there can be large variances in case weight and bullet weight alone.

All that said fusion is supposed to be one of Federal’s better lines so if you come out with the right number of each then you should be good

15 grains should make enough difference to identify one from the other. Have you closely examined the bullets to see if you can notice a difference. Do you have a means of measuring total length. I've done the same thing before and was able to use a scale to sort them.

Last time i went to the range i was grabbing more core-lok .308 rounds outta my bag and just happened to look down an noticed 1 was a .300 savage. I dunno if a catastrophe would have happened but it was close. Looked at all the empty brass and luckily i didn't put 1 thru it

Weigh them and see what results you get. It's possible that the weights will be so close that you can't tell them apart. But if one batch is clearly heavier then you have probably found the 165 grain.

Are they both seated to the same OAL or could you just check them with a micrometer or calipers?

These are factory loads, I don't have any refusing tools yet

Even with it being factory ammo. There should be enough weight difference to tell
