Very good advice there. I had forgotten about those two. They deserve a serous look.

        semi-auto: 22 creedmoor then 22-243

        bolt gun:
        .22 cal: 22 creedmoor, then 22-243, then 22-250AI
        .243 cal: 6mm Creedmoor, then 243AI

With that smartass comment in the books and out of the way, what the hell is your point? Do you have one? Go troll Craigslist if you have nothing to add here.

If you reload, which I assume you do, 220 Swift. I have been shooting that caliber for 35+ years and while I have several varmint calibers in my safe that I enjoy shooting, when the varmint hunt is on and the safe opens, the Swift is always the rifle I grab.

I think you can’t go wrong with a 22 nosler in an AR platform.
Will do almost anything a 22-250 will do but in an AR platform for follow-up shots. Should be accurate enough for any varmint with factory ammo. With a bonded bullet hogs and deer should be no problem.

I have to many ar platform rifles really just looking for a bolt gun. I will look into the 22 nosler.

.220 swift. Love mine. It’s 3” high at 100 yards which gives it a zero of 300 yards. Deadly on on any varmint I see
