Fold away carry handle for LR-308 / AR-10 type weapon

Please don't freak out. It's just a question. I haven't bought one. Yet.

I was thinking of how heavy the LR-308 gets. It's actually not that it's too heavy. More "clumsy" to move around than anything. Thinking of a better / easier way to carry it. Saw this online, and it got me thinking. But my rifle has a scope on it. Wondering if this would get in the way, hit the scope, or if I'd have to have it so far forward to clear the scope, the balance would be off when carrying it with the handle.

If you have another better carry handle idea, I'd appreciate it.

I think the compatibility would depend on your scope/mount selection. Interference is definitely a possibility. As far as the handle goes... I don't hate it.

Might be able to flip it up, then mount the scope. But then it would always be sticking out above your scope.

I'm pretty sure it's not going to work. Just looking for ideas / options.

I have several slings. Its not what I want for this weapon. I may have found a solution last night. Still thinking over how to attach it.
