Does the lower need to be designated as a pistol?
For some reason I thought you couldn’t just throw pistol components on a lower and call it it a pistol.

It doesn’t have to be marked as pistol. But you are supposed to use a lower that has never been a rifle.

I asked mine “have you ever been a rifle” and it didn’t reply.

I am not attacking or making fun of you for an injury that I didn't know about until after I made my comment. Every keyboard in the known universe has punctuation keys. They can be useful in breaking up strings of words so that the reader can follow the writer's train of thought. Thank you for your service.

On an AR-15 type rifle, where you can buy *just* the lower receiver, no. But this is also why you can't take the lower off the Colt 6920 you bought at Academy and turn it into a pistol. Once someone tells .gov that it's a rifle, the only way it can wear a short barrel with with a tax stamp.

Yea sbr, I tried the pistol thing but it didn't work out for me. I just paid up and made it right. 3-9 scope is a little much for a short distance gun but I like it now. It's a 300blk.

Cool! Mine is 300blk, 10.5 with a 1-4 scope. Still waiting on my stamp for my suppressor.
