These guys did mine a couple years ago. Have had no issues. Very close to my work as well so that was what made me go in there initially.

You need the receiver taped or just need to mount the rings to the receiver?

You can do it with the allen wrench supplied with the scope rings. You can also use a wheeler torque wrench from amazon for $40.
If you can change a tire, you can mount a scope.
