    Scope for 6.5 Grendel

I’ve been looking at scopes for a 6.5 Grendel build. How do vortex scopes compare to the Nikon Monarch. I trying to decide between a Nikon Monarch vs a comparable vortex? Thinking the diamond hp? Anyone seen good deals bang for the buck on rifle scopes lately?

I went with the primary arms ffp for my build.

I’m not a Nikon fan but I know to get a Vortex that’s even close to comparable you are going to have to high up in their line. HS, HST, PST.

Wow! I’ve never heard of these before. They have great reviews for the price!! How do you like the scope?

Ive got a diamondback 4-16 HP im considering selling. Its on my 22-250 and just want a little more magnification. I really like the scope for the price. Ive also owned a PST and Razor and the diamondback isnt as clear as the other two I prefer it to the Nikon's and a few primary arms scopes ive owned or looked through

On my last Grendel build (12.5” SBR), I wanted to venture in mil world with a SWFA 3-15 MRAD SFP. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one... When it came in I compared it to a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5x10x40 and a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x40 and put all of them on 5x to try to get as close as comparable as possible. At dusk and brightness wise, I couldn’t tell them apart when looking through them. Clarity wise when looking through the SWFA scope you could see a slight “bending” of the image on the very outside edges. The Zeiss and Leupold were clear all the way to the edges. I wouldn’t usually notice that, but I was looking for anything that set them apart or placed one higher than the others. Besides that, the SWFA is a 30mm tube compared to the Zeiss and Leupold 1” tubes. I like all 3 and would choose any of them.
I’ve only looked through the Vortex HS and liked how clear it was. I own some Talon HD Bono’s and really like them!
I’ve never looked through any Leupolds since the Vari-III line, so I can’t compare their newer glass.

What would you be asking for the diamondback?
