    Countdown to the range

Finally wrapped up the last build this weekend. Headed out to the range on Friday to sight in and get some dope for the .308, 300 win mag and 6.5x284! Hoping to go 1 mile with the 300 win mag, I’ll be happy grouping the other two at 1000 yards.

Love that top one! Did you build them yourself?

6.5 X 284 will do 1000+ easily! Nice looking toys.

Thanks! I've heard great things about that round, but this will be my first time with one.

Nice work, how about some build specs?

What's your load plans for the 6.5x284? I just picked one up myself but it's not 100% complete and I won't be shooting it for several weeks.

Thought it was a magpul at first, but I think it is something else. Hard to tell on this phone.

              Awesome builds!

It’s stocky Stocks new accu-block drop in, their version of the magpul in my opinion. Had to inlet it for a magpul DBM, but that was quick work.

.308 is a blueprinted 700 action, Stocky’s accublock stock, timney Calvin elite trigger, proof carbon fiber 10 twist @ 22”, magpul DBM, leupold vx3-I LRP 6.5-20 TMR reticle.

.300 win mag is a blueprinted 700 action, MDT tac21 chassis, timney Calvin elite trigger, proof carbon fiber 8 twist @ 24”, nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 with MOA reticle (going up for sale soon)

Not pictured: 6.5x284 is a blueprinted 700 action, hogue stock for now, timney Calvin elite trigger, proof stainless varmint barrel, h&s DBM, leupold vx3-I 4.5-14x50 TMR Reticle.

Not sure on the 6.5 load, prob gonna start with box ammo and see what it will do before I commit to handloads.

Come ups on a 6.5-284 140 VLD is nearly identical to a 300 Win Mag with 185 grain VLDs. And it doesn’t punish you as bad.

As a general rule it takes 20MOA to get them to 1000 yards with a 100 yard zero.

On a side note, if any reloaders wanna work up a load for the 6.5-284 and give me a stock of hunting rounds in exchange for some trips to the range (steel out to 1 mile), I would be interested in a trade.

Those are some badazz builds. Let us know how they shoot. Private range with steel to a mile sure sounds nice.
