Sight in vs hunting ammo

So short story, shot all the rounds I sighted in with. Bought the box because I thought I only had 3-4 hand loads left. Also sighted in using 160gr and was gonna just pick up a box until I saw that they were 160gr soft points. I'm sure it's enough em for Elk but they were just soft points. Anyways I found a box of handloads while unpacking. 168 gr tsx. I'd like to use these instead of buying another box

How much of an impact can I expect in accuracy?

I would! I have seen the accuracy change drastically between loads and would hunt till I could test it!

I take no chances. Blows my mind when I see folks grab ammunition just because it's the same weight/brand as what they had been shooting. If I am shooting factory ammunition i confirm zero even if it's the same ammunition just out of a different lot.

What he said. I have seen big differences and no differences. I will also fire a couple shots after a long trip to make sure everything is good to go when i get to the hunt location. Had a scope die between Texas and Montana, glad I had a backup rifle and plenty of ammo for both.
