    ADG Brass

    Anyone know anything about it?

I have a friends 338 RUM to develop a load for and brass is nonexistent with the exception of this brand from Kentucky which I have never heard of.

Can’t find much on it. Thinking I will be better off forming from 300 RUM

Does that require moving the shoulder? I seem to recall that the .338 RUM is shorter than the .300 RUM. If there's a lot of work involved, I might take a flyer on the ADG brass.

Hey guys. I am brand new to the forum and can offer some personal experience with ADG brass. Atlas Development Group is a new company in the industry, but with engineers who left a big name company when it moved from Kentucky to Alabama. They got their start making brass for other big name brands, but now are starting to sell direct. I am a member of the US National Rifle Team and handload about 2,000 rounds a year. In my personal opinion their brass is better than Lapua. They have a 17 step process and quality control each step. Every piece of brass is hand inspected before it leaves their factory. I live 15 miles away so have been fortunate to get some of their first brass. I am taking it Elk Hunting in Colorado in a few days.

Old post but I'm am considering ADG brass for my APR 6.5 PRC. Any new news on this brass? It's pricey but if it provides the best accuracy, it seems a small price to pay. I've emailed Lapua to see if they had plans to do 6.5 PRC but haven't heard back.

I was considering using their brass for my 6.5 PRC as well. but, after looking at the cost of it and reading about it I decided not to use it. I read that the ADG brass is a little heavier, meaning thicker than other brass manufacturers and therefore cannot be loaded the same as say Hornady brass. I'm guessing it's much like +P brass and will require less powder before seeing pressure indicators.

I've read it's very durable and of good quality but will need extensive weight sorting if low ES is desired.

This ^ I have 100 6mm cm that have been 4x fired some are thinning at case head. These were some of the first few batches made. I have some alpha brass too and it has 5x firings and still look great. But they are also thicker brass but imho better quality then agd

Lapua got back to me and the 6.5 PRC is still being considered but no timetable. They suggested Peterson Brass as an alternative but looking on their site, they don't make it either.
