I can't believe you guys like these, I bought the yard and garden edition. It's supposed to be more powerful, and shoot a bigger load of salt. And it would not kill a fly if I was farther then six inches from it. And most the times at six inches it would only " wing" them and they could not fly. Then had to hold about three inches to kill them. I called and they would not refund me, only send me a differant " gun". I got quite upset and started yelling, they sent me a return label and are supposed to credit my card when they receive it. I seriously thought it was junk.

Maybe you're using the wrong choke.

I killed a couple from 3 feet away. No problems. Maybe you had bad salt! [emoji23]

We shoot any insect or arachnid around here. For the bigger spiders you do need to be pretty close, but flies can be killed from a few feet away. Maybe you needed to pattern your gun Critter?

You actually have to be able to hit them. You obviously can't aim.

They are tons of fun! Just don't shoot a red wasp with one, it just makes em mad

same effect when using the electric fly swatter, SOB came at me 3 times before finally taking his own life by flying into a cloud of raid.

My BiL gave me one for my birthday. I don't have any flies here so I took it down the road to the local feed store. That gun has killed thousands of flies and they/I have gone through several containers of salt already. It will kill flies out to about 3' and wasps to about 2'. I have shot several flies out of the air.
