    Bellm trigger job on TC

I did a #2 spring kit on my TC prohunter. I was intimidated going into it. Was always to cheap to pay someone to do it. Well after some really crappy shooting and prodding from a buddy I bought the kit from bellm.
Trigger spring took me a bit but that was my own doing by not paying attention to how it went into the trigger. All other Springs were easy.
I don't have a pull gauge. But before it was pulling a table cross the room. I set the hammer and it surprised me. Super light now. Great $20 investment.

Make sure the hammer rebounds and stays off the firing pin after you let off the trigger. At 2 lbs, it should, but check to make sure. I've done a lot of these and only had one that gave me problems, but it was set too light (1 lb). The Bellm kit makes it easy, but you are right - if you aren't used to doing it, you really need to pay close attention to how the factory springs sit in there. Congrats on fixing your factory trigger.
    All the best,
    Glenn

It does rebound. So much so that I had to put a primer cap in and fire it off.

I don't understand what you are saying here. I'm not quite sure why you would have to put a primer cap in and fire it off because it was "So much". There really isn't a such thing as excessive rebound. It either does, or doesn't.

Rebound in this case simply means that the hammer, after falling onto the firing pin, will pull back off the firing pin to a safe reset position after you take your finger off the trigger. So if you were to load the weapon again, and close the action, the hammer wouldn't be resting on the firing pin, which is an unsafe condition.

        All the best,
        Glenn

What I mean is this was my first time to do a trigger job. And the rebound setback was a fair amount more than withthe stock spring.
So I was just stating I put in a cap to make sure it would fire
