    Rifle Action Bedding in Houston?

Does anyone know a good and reasonably priced place in Houston that could fiberglass bed my Ruger American into a Boyds stock?

I am toying with the idea of doing it on my own but if I can pay a decent price for someone else to do it then I would feel more comfortable.

MG Arms in Spring would be worth a call. Down the street from the original Carters Country.

I will give them a call, thanks!

      Any other suggestions?

For a Ruger American, do it yourself. Bed the lug blocks (not the whole action) with JB Weld. It's really really simple.

Also, you'll probably need a spacer washer under the magazine catch when using a Boyd's. No biggie, though

Awesome thanks for posting. I think I can handle that.

Any details on the spacer washer for the magazine catch? Not sure what you are talking about.

The front action screw holds the magazine catch in place. I had the same problem with two Ruger American / Boyd combos....i just used a small galvanized washer between the stock and the plastic magazine catch. It allowed the magazine to work properly and there were still plenty of threads engaged in the lug block so no issues there

Thanks for the tips, I used this video as well as the spacer for the clip. I ended up bedding the v-blocks myself and saving about $200. The action is in there super tight and the barrel free floats.
